Classical ballet technique is the foundation for all styles of dance.
Dance Unlimited offers a variety of ballet technique classes designed to suit every student’s needs. Ballet students at Dance Unlimited have the opportunity to learn a variety of ballet techniques, including the Cecchetti method.
Class levels follow a dedicated syllabus, which helps to ensure that students are placed in the proper class according to their skill level and prior experience. At the completion of every school year, dancers showcase their ballet technique that they have learned in the annual recital.

Pre-pointe class is designed to offer students the opportunity to develop and strengthen the muscles necessary to safely dance en pointe. Pre-pointe students wear ballet slippers to practice a series of exercises at the barre to improve their core strength, turnout (outward hip rotation), body alignment, and balance to be ready to dance in pointe shoes.
All pre-pointe students must attain a certain level of technical skill, strength, and flexibility in their ballet technique classes to be considered for pre-pointe. Pre-pointe students are required to attend a minimum of two level 4 or 5 ballet technique classes per week, for a minimum of one year, to be considered for pre-pointe class. Students will be evaluated and recommended for pre-pointe by their instructor.
